What’s it like to rent a Vacation Home… Vacation home rentals offer more privacy, flexibility, and space to enrich your vacation experience. Booking a vacation home offers you an opportunity to live like a local and embrace the area all while feeling like you never left home. What is normally provided: Rentals are furnished, provide fully stocked kitchens and all provide bedroom and bathroom linens, TVs, Wi-Fi and games such as ours at Pointe West Vacation. What can I expect: Most rentals are personable and cozy. You will have plenty of room to stay indoors allowing everyone to spread out. In addition, you will find multiple “living” areas, bathrooms and bedrooms. Should you wish, a rental allows you the flexibility of enjoying home-cooked meals, playing games, relaxing and bonding with family and friends. What would be some differences vs a hotel stay: Besides having much more space there are some differences to take note of. *Vacation rentals require a larger deposit to secure and have a stricter cancellation policy. *You may be required to stay a minimum length of days. *Vacation rentals do not provide valet, room, housekeeping and concierge services. Additionally, there may not be an onsite restaurant or sundry type store available. Pointe West offers restaurant and gift shop seasonally - (usually opened March – Oct.) *There is no onsite maintenance team, should issues arise. That doesn’t mean repairs will not happen, it may take a bit more time based on the type of repair. *The whole family or “gang” can be together in one home vs multiple hotel rooms, plus offers a kitchen to cut down on eating out expenses; a great way to maximize your vacation budget. *There is not an “other room” option to switch to like a hotel. You have rented a private residence for your stay. *You may find a pet-friendly option so you don’t have to leave your furry friend at home. *You will communicate with a rental manager over the phone, text or via email since there is no front desk. *Vacation rental managers offer great advice, hints, and tips for your stay. You skip check-in/check-out lines. *Most rentals provide a door code or lock box for your arrival. This gives you the flexibility to arrive as late as you like. Unlock the front door and your vacation is started. *With a vacation rental, you are renting a private residence and the property management company has no control over elevators, electrical or water outages, closure of pools, and other common areas.
